In our culture we constantly hear schemes on how we can get rich.  A lot of people have gotten rich preying on other people’s desires to get rich. Most of us would like to be rich. Not even filthy rich, just average rich would work. Just rich enough to not have to worry about money anymore.  But, does that rich exist?  John Rockefeller, oil tycoon and one of the wealthiest men of his generation, was once asked, “Mr. Rockefeller, how much money will be enough for you?” To which Mr. Rockefeller famously responded, “just one more dollar.”

So, we probably need to ask some questions, like:

  • What makes someone rich?
  • What would we do if we were rich?
  • How much is enough?
  • Am I already rich?
  • Is it possible to be good at being rich?

Studies have statistically proven that the more people make, the less they give percentage wise. Yes, you read that right, rich people give less.  We have heard, or maybe even said ourselves, that when I HAVE more I will GIVE more.  But history proves otherwise.  If we were to get rich, would we be any good at it?

Join us as we look at the Bible’s instructions on how to BE GOOD at BEING RICH, just in case we ever find ourselves in that fortunate position.

Be Rich  - Week 4 -  This is How We Change the World - Lead Pastor Brian Ramey

The early church had nothing in terms for wealth, power, political or societal influence. And yet they changed the world. So much so that a movement that by all reasonable standards shouldn't have lasted a generation is now the worlds largest religion. It wasn't about what they had, it was about what they did with what they had that mattered.
